I introduced Panasonic's AR Ad the other day. I introduce newer Panasonic's AR Ad this time.

This is an ad poster of consumer electronic series "NIGHT COLOR".

Start apps and link with the Twitter account.

And I do shooting of an ad poster. Then......







the dancer appears on the poster. The face of the dancer is one's Twitter icon. And we can post the movie of the dancer to YouTube and Twitter from apps.

mixi can be used from a smart phone

Japanese big SNS mixi held conference event "mixi meetup 2010" today. By this event, various new strategy of mixi were announced.

There is a news flash in Asiajin.(It will be carried in TechCrunch, SocialTimes and Mashable soon.)

The one of today's topics is to have got possible to access mixi with a smartphone.
Up to now, mixi can be used only from PC and Japanese mobile(Galapagos mobile ).

At first, start safari and access http://mixi.jp/.

Then, the mixi page optimized to the screen of a smart phone appears.

"ログインメールアドレス" --- Log in mail address
"パスワード" --- Password

My page was displayed. If you want to play a social apps, tap "その他"(mean "others") of the top right corner.

And tap "アプリ"(mean apps).

There sre 9 kinds of social apps that we can use from a smartphone now.

I play a town construction social game "Machitsuku!" of Unoh(Zynga Japan). Up to now, this game can be played only japanese mobile.

However, the problem still remains. It is that the mail address of the Japanese mobile is necessary to register the user in mixi. In a word, overseas peoples who doesn't have the Japanese mobile can't log in mixi.

The globalization of mixi will advance if it's improved.

AR girlfriend of LOVE PLUS

There are three kinds(three girl friends) of LOVE PLUS iPhone apps and 600 yen each. 

iPhone apps ver. is different from the contents of the Nintendo DS game. There are more few functions than a game, but the resolution improves.

Virtual girlfriend's graphic  is beautiful, and the motion is smooth, too!

Furthermore, the girlfriend wakes you up every morning in fixed time if you valued "voice" of the girlfriend.

Japanese famous sightseeing spot "Atami" and virtual love game "LOVE PLUS+" held a tie-up event at July 10 - Aug 31.

LOVE PLUS+ is a Nintendo DS game that enjoying love with the virtual girlfriend. There are three virtual girlfriends and the player chooses the girlfriend of the favorite type and associates.

Atami set up the AR markers which could take a ceremonial photos with a girlfriend in 29 places of the city. In addition, they held a stamp rally event and sold commemorative goods.

This Atami's trial became the topic very much, and more than 3,000 LOVE PLUS+ player visited Atami "with a girlfriend". They did even that they stayed at the twin room of the hotel with a girlfriend.

Atami was the sightseeing spot which was famous in a hot spring for several hundred years. But, by the present age, Atami is deserted because Japanese traveling abroad.

This trial brought vigor and a sightseeing income in Atami and The Wall Street Journal carried an article, too.

The otaku are easy to be misunderstood. Actually, Nippon Television of the TV station mediamorphosis and looked down on them.

But, game news site "Kotaku Japan" and the player's blog report the actual situation of the event.

However, their worry seems to be imaginary fears. Because LOVE PLUS+ players plan an event voluntarily in autumn of Atami.


Atami could get a sightseeing income, and LOVE PLUS+ players made a memory with a girlfriend and knew charm of Atami.


I think this event to be a wonderful example of the win-win business model.

Panasonic uses AR for the promotion of the new product.

From August 24 to 26th, they distributed a free promotion T-shirts of TV "3D VIERA" in Shibuya, Tokyo.

A big AR marker was printed on the center of the T-shirt.

Because the fellow worker of the office got this, I tried it. iPhone application "Panasonic 3D VIERA AR Greeting App" is necessary to play this.
