Japanese virtual world anime film aims at Oscar

Big news for Second Life users in Japan!

It's big news! Second Life documentary film "LIFE 2.0" is introduced by Japanese TV program "松嶋x町山の未公開映画を観るTV(Matsushima & Machiyama's TV which watches unscreened movies in japan)" on December 3rd & 10th 23:30~!


This TV program introduces excellent movies which is not screened in Japan. Perhaps, this is the first time this movie is introduced by the television program of the ground wave.

There are a lot of people who still say "Second Life is suck!" in Japan. I wish this program to change the such recognition.

Japanese new Second Life news site "URIKO.in"


"3D virtual world doesn't become popular in Japan. " "The Japanese uses only the mobile service", overseas people said in this way much more for some time. In addition, Japanese Medea reports that "Second Life is not good and no use" (still). Are not there the Second Life users in Japan? No! There are heavy users of Second Life also in Japan.

"URIKO.in" is new media that send Second Life user's activity information. Especially, information on the art are abundant. The site is written only in Japanese, but there are a lot of beautiful screen shots.

Today is the day of Atomic bombing in Hiroshima. Hiroshima people are suffered many decades. We wish Japan will be the only and last victim of Atomic bomb for good.

By the way, Do you know that two Atomic bombs were dropped on Japan? Hidenori Watanave Laboratory at Tokyo Metropolitan University released cool Google Earth contents about Atomic bomb throwing down of the second. The name is “Nagasaki Archive”.

Nagasaki Archive is the web content to tell the world the reality of the Atomic bomb on interactive archive of the Google Earth.

This project enables to access all of those resources from all over the world, which was formerly unable to do so. Moreover, by mapping the information with topographic data, the user can enhance the experience of what it was like when the A-bomb struck Nagasaki, in detail. "Nagasaki Archive" is an attempt to reorganize all of those information on a digital virtual globe (google earth). In order to make Nagasaki the last place on earth where the A-bomb struck, we hope that many people to interact with and learn from "Nagasaki Archive".

You can see photos from the same angle they were taken 65 years ago, and also you click the portrait of survivors to read their experiences and wishes assosiated with the actual location they were exposed to A - bomb.

These contents became the topic in Twitter immediately since they released it. And even not only Japan but also overseas Medeas were reported, and it was carried in Google Earth' official blog at last!

The point that I think to be splendid in these contents, can experience the viewpoint of the Nagasaki citizen from the viewpoint of a pilot dropping an Atomic bomb.

Second Life Books published in Japan (Almost RUBBISH!)

The office will move the day after tomorrow. So I pack now. (Dazed and confused!)
A lot of Second Life books came out when I put bookshelves in order.

"Why does the person buy a thing without the form?"
It's the virtual economic book which Dr.Miho Nojima of the Seikei University department of economics wrote.

In other words 2 of 3 books are foreign books. The book which we should read in the book which a Japanese wrote is only a Dr,Nojima's book.

Why Japan haven't a research institute to analyze about virtual world, virtual goods, virtual currency, social game and MMO? There is none of the researchers who analyze mainly it about virtual world, virtual goods, virtual currency, social game and MMO likewise.

In the time when Second Life was in a topic in Japan(about spring, 2007), many Japanese considered Second Life to be only a "new money-making tool". And the people criticized Second Life later.

I still think. There are not the researchers who can analyze virtual business in Japan. Because, they don't log in to service properly(And read only data and the  another person's article). And Japanese people are weak at a "title". When it's the book which a "professor", "researcher", "president of the company" and "major publishing company" wrote, they appreciate it.

Nobody watches the truth. 

But only the book of Dr.Nojima is recommended. She really logged in by various service and used them properly. Please read this book, if you can understand Japanese. It's a book written about the virtual economy only in Japan.
