Froebel-kan, the children's book publishing company and SoftBank Robotics produced a picture book of humanoid robot Pepper jointly. The price is 1,000yen(about 8.9USD).

Now, Pepper works in many shops and offices in Japan and he is bought to standard family though his price is 200,000yen(about 1,787USD). The theme of this picture book is the significance of existence of Pepper in the family and symbiosis with human beings and robots.

In this picture book, Pepper is bought as birthday present to a boy. The boy is surprised first, but gradually makes friends with Pepper, and Pepper becomes the member of the family before long.

The daily life of live with robots is already reality. It is important that parents let children think about the daily life with robots. This picture book is sold from yesterday.

May the force be with your smartphone

Spin-off movie of the Star Wars series "Rogue One" is shown soon. To it, Softbank and Sharp announced that they released two kinds of smartphones of Star Wars in the beginning of December.

Of course two kinds of them are the dark side and the light side. Because users must use it more than two years if they change a model of a smartphone, they must think about which they promise the loyalty to seriously! :)
The OS of the smartphone is Android 6.0 and skin and live wall paper are X-Wing or Tie Fighter. Furthermore, game application "Star Wars: Force Collection", movie application of "The Force Awakens", emoji, and ringtones are preinstalled. As a bonus item, the metal figures of Rogue One made by TAKARA TOMY are attached. Those size is 73*149*7.6mm, and weight is 155g. The battery capacity is 3,000mAh. [Photo report] Angry Birds exhibition in Ginza Sony building

September 17 - October 30, an exhibition of The Angry Birds Movie was held in Sony Building of Ginza, Tokyo.

Unfortunately Angry Birds does not get popularity in Japan, and it is important that such an event is held for promotion.

For this exhibition, rough sketchs of characters by artists were displayed on 18 meters display wall.

The photo booth which reproduced the scene of the movie.

This is the attraction that can experience a slingshot artificially.

A sense of touch presentation technology of Sony is used for this. When visitors sprawl on the table having a vibration device and put on headphones, they can do simulated experience in Red flying by a slingshot. The movie which reproduced a viewpoint of Red was projected on the huge LED display. It was not VR, but children enjoyed it very much.

This was an event for children, but there were many visitors of adults, too. Furthermore, some foreign tourists came. Would such exhibition be held in other countries?
