3Di, Inc. and Softfront Embark on Technical Cooperation for Commercial VoIP Solution in 3D Virtual Worlds

3Di, Inc. , which offers 3D virtual world solution development and distribution (representative director and CEO Satoshi Koike), has agreed to technical cooperation with Softfront (President and CEO Katsuhiko Sakaguchi), a total solution vendor for telecommunications, in order to provide a high end 3D Internet VoIP solution for commercial purposes. The commercially oriented 3D VoIP solution combines 3Di OpenSim Server Enterprise edition with Softfront’s high end SIP/VoIP technology.

3Di, Inc. has been developing and distributing [3Di OpenSim] for companies and local governments, integrating 3D virtual worlds into web sites and Intranet sites. 3Di, Inc. released its Enterprise edition on April 15th, 2008. The theme of the VoIP solution was security, stability, and ease of use.

This time, 3Di’s web-browser-based 3Di OpenViewer combined with Softfront’s high-end telecommunication technology makes it possible to realize a commercial, stable VoIP solution in the web browser. In future, the VoIP solution will be able to deal with NGN(*1) and PSTN Networks.(*2)

3D virtual worlds with VoIP can host virtual meetings, events, or seminars. For example, this enables Business Continuity Planning (BCP) in the face of challenging situations such as recession, cost reduction, or pandemic illness. 3Di, Inc. anticipates and responds to the requirements of business in 3D virtual worlds.

Pixiv Festa vol.2

"Pixiv Festa vol.2" was held in Design Festa Gallery in Tokyo Harajuku from July 11th to 12th.

"Pixiv Festa" is real exhibition that illustration SNS "Pixiv" held.
The works which were various than the last time, and very gorgeous atmosphere.

This is a pamphlet.

The visitor puts a "star sticker" and evaluates a favorite works.

Maintenance dog.

He is a dog of the president of pixiv company, and when a site is maintaining it, a screen shows him.

As you see it was extreme popularity. He was photographed a lot. (Surely he will be tired)

OpenSource World 2009

From July 1 to 2, "OpenSource World 2009" was held in Tokyo international forum exhibition hall.

"OpenSource World" is an exhibition event of the biggest in Japan of Linux and the open source.

In the IBM JAPAN booth of this event, 3Di Co., Ltd. gave a lecture.
