Japanese popular mobile apps character Nameko becomes the Anime at last

This business model may resemble Angry Birds. However, in Japan, Nameko raises profit in extreme popularity than Angry Birds.


Developer of "Nameko Saibai Kit" series Beeworks and their goods sale company Furyu announced that they released a long piece Anime of Nameko "Nameko Family(なめこ家の一族)" on December 20. Interesting one is in release form. They sell DVD of 2,940yen(about 30USD) suddenly. Furthermore, it has been already decided that it is released to three volumes in future.





This is general business model of the  anime called OVA(Original Video Anime) in Japan. OVA are not shown in a movie theater and not broadcasted on TV. They are made only for sale from the first. They have many experimental works because they do not need to mind broadcast rating.



"Nameko Family" is an experimental work, too. It expresses a nostalgic Japanese lifestyle(Showa period). Furthermore, Nameko do not talk at all. This is very rare in the Japanimation. Because voice actors are very popular in Japan, and their performance is an important popular element in Anime.



On the other hand, a lot of cute motions of Naneko and music are expressed in Nameko Family. This is semi-silent anime. Reservation acceptance has already begun in Amazon.co.jp.

It is very popular now. However, Japanese game developer Polka Dot develops the smartphone game that personified tanks of WW II to cute girls. The title is "Battle Tank Girls". Surprisingly this is developed by the team of only 3 people. Furthermore, they collected development funds in crowd funding.






Battle Tank Girls is a battle simulation game for smartphonrs(native apps). Tanks of the nations which participated in WW II appear for the game. What many characters! All tanks become the different kinds of cute and sexy girls.

At first, they collected development funds with the goal of 100,000 yen in Japanese crowd funding site CAMPFIRE. However, it was accomplished in no time. Furthermore, they have already collected more than 900,000 yen to remain for another 32 days until the deadline. It is 9 times of the aim! and probably it exceeds 1M yen.

They use this for advertising costs mainly. Now, the advertising costs are increasing in the Japanese social game industry, and it is important. Battle Tank Girls made a good start.

Faster than SnapChat! Japanese messaging apps SeeSaw deletes photo in 1 sec

Japanese classified advertisement, publication and human resources company Recruit Holdings released funny messaging application for  smartphones "SeeSaw".


SeeSaw is apps to communicate with friends with photos(There is a doodle function). Seemingly this looks like a copy of Snapchat, and most of its functions are the same. However, the big difference is photos deletion speed. SeeSaw deletes photos in a minimum period of 1 second. What can we confirm in only 1 second?! Furthermore, we can set photos watching time only 8 seconds even the longest. In the meantime, it is faster than Snapchat. May the Japanese discover the new communication using this?

Japanese former main Social Networking Service mixi is out of condition now. They fell to a deficit at last in this term. The profit of the social games does not increase, and active users continue decreasing, too. They perform various measures to change this situation, but when I say honestly, most of them are copy of LINE. They released messaging apps for smartphones "mixi Talk".


This is the service that expanded the message function of mixi. mixi users can chat, message switching and sticker switching and images sharing. Well...there are not the particularly new functions. More ideas are necessary for their revival.

DeNA publishes a credit card of social game platform Mobage


Probably this is a social game industry's first example. DeNA publishes a credit card of their social game platform Mobage. The name is "MOBAGE CARD".
